QuisLex works closely with leading ethicists, industry leaders and renowned academicians to develop best practices for the industry and ensure all ethical considerations are sufficiently addressed.

We also participate in forums established by the PLI (Practising Law Institute) and work with industry leaders to formulate best practices for effective outsourcing of Legal Services. As an example, CEO Ram Vasudevan spoke at a PLI webcast titled Best Practices for Effective Outsourcing of Legal Services 2007.

The New York City Bar Association recently issued an opinion that outsourcing legal services to foreign attorneys was proper provided certain conditions are met. 

The conditions are:

• The work must be rigorously supervised
• Confidentiality must be preserved
• Conflicts checks are performed
• Appropriate billing practices are followed 
• Advance client consent is obtained

The California San Diego Bar came out with an opinion that follows the same path as well.
