Getting to Know our Team: Aradhana Das

I started my career at QuisLex over 12 years ago. I was a student completing my law degree, and I vividly remember the day I met QuisLex through a recruitment program on campus. I was curious to know more about the organization because back then, the legal process outsourcing market was just picking up momentum. After interviewing, I was informed I was selected to join QuisLex after I completed my final exams.

What keeps me here is the team and the talent of each individual I get to work with. I’ve seen the passion and commitment QuisLex instills in us for the work we do for our clients. Each member of our team is extremely passionate about performing and delivering the highest quality work to our clients regardless of the challenges. For example, a few years ago a client matter involving the production of a large volume of documents within a very short time span fell during one of the major festivals in India, when we anticipate higher absenteeism. We knew we’d need to be proactive and highly organized to be successful with these factors at play. To accommodate, we first held initial calls with our client to understand their requirement. We then reviewed the document pool and using previous experience on similar matters, suggested segregating it to reduce the overall review pool. We then looked at staffing, divided the team’s workload based on priorities, provided progress updates and proactively discussed issues. As a result, we met all the committed deadlines. The client highly appreciated our efforts and mentioned how our commitment cemented our long-standing relationship.

One aspect I enjoy about my job is the learning opportunities QuisLex provides. Recently I had the opportunity to be part of a Leadership Development Program through a partnership with one of the leading business schools in India, The Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. I’m now nine months into the program, and it has been an amazing learning experience, one I had never imagined would be so enriching and fulfilling. I’ve learned so much from top professors in India and abroad. It’s helped me focus on my management style and personal growth. I can see the difference in my day-to-day activities at work, as well as at home.

There’s also a culture of extending a helping hand in times of need, both professionally and personally. QuisLex undertakes many corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. One initiative is a school for underprivileged children that QuisLex "adopted" in 2010. I had the opportunity to visit the school along with my colleagues. The students were mostly 8-12 years old and were so excited to meet us. We spoke with them, danced together and distributed snacks and books. It was such a lovely experience to witness the pure joy on their faces and to realize that such small acts can make a big difference in someone’s life.
