Getting to Know our Team: Varun Iravatham

For nearly 15 years I have taken great pride in keeping QuisLex secure, ensuring the trust placed in us by our clients is always met. You could describe me as security-obsessed, as I think about risk 24/7. As CISO, I’m constantly planning to ensure continuity of operations irrespective of any contingencies and continually looking to implement the ever-evolving industry best practices.

It is absolutely thrilling to lead and be a part of a company that makes the impossible possible by always asking ourselves, “What more can I do to contribute to our client’s success?”. For example, when one client was facing major regulatory pressure to strengthen their cybersecurity (particularly for their external partner ecosystem), we showcased our security controls and passed all of the stringent audits with flying colors. Then we proactively took on the additional responsibility of helping our client ensure that their entire ecosystem of stakeholders, including law firms and technology-hosting vendors, also adopted the same rigorous standards of enhanced security measures. At QuisLex, we understand that when it comes to security, you are only as strong as your weakest link.

Although keeping our client’s data secure is serious business, we get the job done with smiles on our faces. Our offices are always bustling and full of energy and there is a great vibe when you visit (with appropriate verification and security approvals of course). It’s fun to see everyone going all out to delight our clients. That’s our secret sauce – highly skilled and motivated QuisLexians meticulously focused on getting everything right the first time, combined with process rigor and an innovative mindset and, of course, stringent security measures. This combination results in a culture of excellence that puts our clients at the center of everything we do.

When I’m not in the office, you can find me on Twitter, DJing, or traveling. I’m also an avid cricketer. I love mentoring the QuisLex cricket team as we compete in various local corporate tournaments. Each year we get new team recruits and it’s lovely interacting, guiding and learning from each other.

He earned his B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Anna University and his Masters in Information Management & Cybersecurity from Syracuse University, New York. He enjoys cricket, DJing and traveling.
